House Insignia of the Day Revealed

At St. John of Nepomuk
 Nerudova Street 18/213, Lesser Town

Originally a Renaissance house built in 1566, this building was restyled a number of times during the Baroque period.  The stucco decoration on the facade is from the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.

The statue of St. Florian and the stone vases above the big dormer window date from the 17th & 18th century as well.

On the first floor, remainder of renaissance sgraffito are apparent.  A relief of St. John of Nepomuk from 1730 is on the keystone of the portal.
