Tuesday's House Insignia of the Day Revealed - House at The Golden Alphabet (Dům U zlaté abecedy)

House at The Golden Alphabet  (Dům U zlaté abecedy)

The insignia at house no. 448 dates back to the 18th century.  It's said that the original owners of the building placed these three letters there.  Later, however, in the year 1766, the house was bought by one of Prague's leading type founders...for a very high price!  He was probably willing to pay such a steep price because the insignia represented his trade, thus he just had to have this home.  I don't blame him really.

Today, the building houses rental apartments, a great alternative to staying in a hotel.  To view available flats, visit Golden Alphabet Guesthouse
