Every year at this time I yearn for a Victorian Dickens Village-like setting. I want to walk along a cobblestoned road while snow falls gently all around me. I want to see the warm glow emitting from windows as I walk past and know that the family inside is warm and happy. I want hear sleigh bells and the clap of hooves as carriages are pulled along, and the toll of church bells as they strike the hour. I want to hear carolers as they sing Silent Night and smell chestnuts roasting on an open fire. I want to step back in time to an era that was simpler, and Christmastime was enjoyed...
In Prague, I have found this feeling that I search for every year come December 1st...for Christmas time in Prague is simply wonderful!
