Ever been on a flight where when the plane lands some people clap? I know I have been, many times, but it doesn't occur on every flight I've been on. But there is one flight...one route in particular where the second those wheels touch down on the tarmac, the cabin explodes in loud, explosive clapping. And that route is JFK-PRG. I'm talking standing ovation here.
So does that mean that I was amongst 200+ people who didn't think we'd land safely? I never doubted the Captain and his crew, did they? It's most likely to show appreciation, and that I understand. Or maybe it's just what I've been saying all along...Czechs are a superstitious bunch!
Perhaps next time I'll join my fellow Czechs and clap till my hands hurt.
